The new DCD1 Disklavier CD Player turns your Disklavier or other MIDI-equipped Yamaha piano¹ into a full-fledged musical entertainment system, ready to provide a superb selection of piano and ensemble concerts — complete with high-fidelity vocal and instrumental tracks¹ — anytime you like.

With the DCD1, you can listen to some of the world's top artists performing right in your own home.

The DCD1 is compatible with a full spectrum of CD performance software, available from Yamaha and other producers. Whether your taste runs to ballads or baroque, show tunes or sonatas, chamber music, big bands or popular hits, you'll fine a wide range of musical entertainment choices.

Audio/MIDI CDs can also provide synchronized vocal and instrumental audio tracks. This means that you can listen to some of your favorite vocalists and groups playing and singing right along with your piano, with CD-quality sound and convenience of conventional audio discs.

You can also use the DCD to listen to your music CDs. Depending on your piano*³, you can listen through headphones, through the piano's internal speakers or your own amplified speakers. It's like having another audio system, and ideal when you want to play along.

The DCD1 is as simple to set up and use as conventional audio equipment. Just place it wherever it's most convenient, then connect a few cables, select your piano type, plug it in and turn it on.

Yamaha Disklavier Silent/MIDI Pianos reproduce either acoustic or digital piano tones, with digital sound delivered through headphones or external audio equipment.

Yamaha Silent Series/MIDI Pianos reproduce-digital piano and ensemble sound through headphones or external audio equipment.

Yamaha GranTouch, Disklavier GranTouch, and Clavinova pianos reproduce digital piano and ensemble tones through headphones or their internal amplified speaker system.

Reproduction of acoustic piano performance, including key and pedal movement is possible only on Yamaha Disklavier pianos.
